Visit to the Central Asambleas de Dios Church.
We had a fruitful trip to Santa Marta in July. We emphasized leadership training for the crusade meeting and received approximately 1,300 leaders in attendance. We also sponsored a women’s meeting attended by approximately 1,100 women who responded very favorably to the words of encouragement. At our leadership meeting, our team members spoke on various topics to prepare and encourage leaders to be ready for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that was traveling to Colombia. Pastors Ángel and Marcela Rangel encouraged and challenged the leaders from their experiences at their church in Bucaramanga; Brother Alejandro and Sister Paola Cuineme shared about the challenges of the Christian family in today’s world; Brother Camililo and Sister Leyla Vargas spoke about the Holy Spirit at work today; Sister Juliana Rojas spoke about biblical financial practices; Sister María Fernanda Sandoval spoke prophetically about what God is saying; Sister Leslie and Brother Jim Thompson spoke about God’s work today in Colombia and the vision the Lord has given for His outpouring. MSM sponsored an evangelistic campaign in Santa Marta, where the Lord’s healing power healed many people, including a woman who got out of her wheelchair without assistance and two blind people who regained their sight thanks to the Lord. During our stay in Santa Marta, a group of pastors from Ciénega (a nearby town) sponsored an evangelistic campaign where 980 people signed decision cards declaring they had received Jesus as their Lord. In addition to the events mentioned above, during that week we preached in many churches where God was present, and there were salvations, healings, and many received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe that many felt gifted in the Lord at the end of our trip.
