On our trip to Pasto, Colombia, we sponsored a pastors’ conference with more attendees than any pastors’ gathering in recent memory. The pastors demonstrated great unity and a shared desire to work together for the region, shifting their focus toward the surrounding areas rather than focusing solely on their individual churches. We prayed for these leaders to be commissioned to go forth and make disciples, as Matthew 28:19–20 directs us to do.
We also spent time interviewing with media members and answering their questions. They were very receptive to the Gospel message, and several of them prayed to receive Jesus before our time with them ended.
Additionally, MSM sponsored a women’s meeting with over 500 attendees. The women responded enthusiastically to the message, and many experienced freedom from long-standing oppression in their lives. It was a deeply blessed time for everyone present.
While preaching in several local churches throughout Pasto, we witnessed the Lord bring many into the Kingdom and heal numerous people of various sicknesses and diseases.
Finally, we met with the Mayor of Pasto, who invited us to speak and minister during the city’s celebration on December 7th in the main plaza. The city expects a large crowd and will be providing the stage and sound equipment. The event marks the official lighting of the city’s Christmas lights, and local churches have committed to participating and bringing non-Christians for an evening of evangelistic outreach. We ask everyone to pray for this event—that God’s best would be poured out on the attendees and that the city would be blessed by His presence.
